Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes is a double-Olivier award winning production adapted from the 1948 feature film by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The tale follows the dream of dancer Victoria Page to transcend the profession, but ambition quickly turns to obsession when a composer and impresario head into battle over her success. 
 
Filmed at Sadler's Wells in 2019, this production sees designers Lez Brotherson and Paule Constable working alongside Paul Groothius and Duncan McLean. Prepare to be transported to the Golden Age of Hollywood through Terry Davies' orchestrations of Bernard Herrmann's original compositions and be thrilled by this tale of dangerous obsession.
