Matthew Bourne's The Car Man is the electric adaption of Bizet's Opera of the same name and first premiered in 2000. The tale follows the arrival of a handsome stranger to a small town, where the greed and lust of the townsfolk lead to an explosion of betrayal and revenge. 
 
Matthew Bourne, alongside the set design of Lez Brotherston, lighting from Chris Davey and orchestration of Terry Davies brings to life the sights and sounds of a 1960s garage-diner at this 2015 performance filmed at Sadler's Wells.
